Re: How can i download the VRA4.9/5.0

Hi, I'm also surprised that the web page for VRA obviously disappeared. I just send Eugene an email. Let's hope that he answers. Meanwhile you may find the CRP toolbox for Matlab useful. If you don't have Matlab, but able to work on a system prompt, you could use the "commandline recurrence plo...

Re: Next RP workshop

It turned out that we had to move the date one week back, thus the next workshop/ symposium will be at August 26-28, 2009.

Re: 3rd RP Workshop - Locations

Hi all,

my favourite is Montreal. If there is still big interest from the group of Lael Parrot, we should organise the next RP workshop in Montreal - and with a more focused view on natural (biological) systems.

Re: RQA interpetation!

Dear Prof. Bigdeli,

thanks for using our toolbox. Have you read the corresponding papers describing these methods? This would be the first step.

Of course, we can help you in interpretation and can give you hints.

Best regards

Re: Reconstruction

Hallo, reconstruction works only under some certain conditions. As far as I remember, it should be written in this paper (or in the Physics Reports paper 2007). In the CRP toolbox you can find the function recons for such purposes. But this function is not yet debugged and tested. There is also anot...

Google's April Hoax

Google announced a new search engine feature predicting future web sites. This would be based partly on recurrence plots. But it's just an April hoax. Found at http://groups.google.com/group/Archive_All/browse_thread/thread/804231cb6af4cbc3/e0988fb1d69f85b6?hl=en&q=%22recurrence+plots%22#e0988fb...

Re: joint vs CRP

Hi Jessica, a CRP tests for the simultaneous occurrences of similar states in two different systems, whereas a JRP tests for the simultaneous occurrences of recurrences in two different states (where the states can be really very different). Further explanations with regard to an application can be ...

Dotplots and Chaos Computer Club

I have just learned that dot plots (rather similar to recurrence plots) are also interesting tools for network security. During the 23rd Chaos Computer Club Conference in Berlin Dan Kaminsky gave a talk "Black Ops 2006 Viz Edition" where he mentioned and presented dot plots in IT security....

Re: matlab reboot error

this error is simply of some incompatibility between the different matlab versions. but it doesn't affect the work with toolbox. because mathworks changed the style of the xml files with each new matlab version, i gave up to fix it everytime. sorry. could you check if the crp toolbox was installed, ...
