Dear Norbert,
I am a newbie in using the crp technique and I am trying to find some kind of relationship between rr interval, systolic blood pressure and respiration, each signal recorded from the same patient. My idea was to compare especially the relationship between rr interval and systolic blood pressure obtained from CRP/JRP with the parameters of baroreflex sensitivity parameters. If I understand it right, it makes more sense to use the JRP because these two systems does have different biological derivations?
Another idea was to compare two groups of patients, one control and one with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). The basic idea is to get the parameters of the CRQA from the control group by calculating crp of each time series with each other time series in the control group. After that I calculate the crp in the same way, but now each time series of the control group with each time series of the DCM group. At the end I want to compare the parameters of crqa(control-control)
with the parameters of crqa(control-DCM). As other linear and nonlinear parameters show reduced values in heart rate variability, I expect to find higher values of rqa in the control-control group?
Thanks a lot and best regards
Florian

I am not sure that you get your answer yet. I used to work on physiological signals also. I have one paper which is related to investigation of physiological signal: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar ... 0911005345.
If you still have any questions, I might answer it for you. (Not Theory questions because I am not a Physics professor)
P.S. I have another paper which is a method of time series classification but it is still under review. After it is accepted, I will give you a link here.
